Gustav Eisen

In honor of our hero, Gustav Eisen, we are starting a new open science project to sequence and analyze the genomes and microbiomes of organisms named after Gustav. This EISENOMICS project begins today April 1, 2012.

At this site we will be posting data from various “Eisen” organisms.  The data will be posted openly and we encourage anyone interested in the Eisenome to participate by assisting in the analysis.

Much like with “PLoS Currents” we encourage anyone to write up short reports on your analysis and post them here.  We have this created a new “Journal” using the Annotum WordPress publishing system.  The Journal “Everyone is Sharing Eisenomics Now” is available here.
